Ever thought about selling up everything and heading off into the wilderness? Well that’s exactly what our guests Caz and Chrissy from the East coast of Australia did. They left their “normal" lives behind and hit the open road for a ‘year of adventure’. That year has turned into four and they are still going.
They share some amazing stories with us, some of their secret wild places around the country and also give us a real insight into a lifestyle that we’ve probably all considered at some point. Caz and Chrissy are an amazing and inspirational couple and it was an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to have them as our guests.

Our first podcast of 2019 takes us to the forests of Sweden where we talk to Swedish outdoorsman Thomas Vuling. We discuss his passion for the outdoors, his philosophies, favourite gear, Nordic Gods, the Sami people, wolves and Kent the Moose. This was all while he tended to his fire, sipped his coffee and was barked at by a deer who discovered him. It's a truly inspiring episode and learning about Thomas' perception of the outdoors was enlightening.

We all deal with varying levels of adversity within our daily lives but stepping into the wild can quickly present bigger and badder obstacles. There's a physical and mental resilience that we develop as we move through nature and interact with the outdoors. That's the sort of adversity we discuss in this episode and that's what hopefully makes us a better version of ourselves by the time our next adventure comes about.

It's a topic that often polarises the outdoor community and for that reason, we wanted to put our friendship aside and dig deep into both options. Who will win the battle of the outdoor accomodation? Tent or Hammock? Listen and find out!!

In this episode we delve into the controversial, often misunderstood and tricky world of human impact on the great outdoors. We take you into the wilderness and while watching the sun set and moon rise we discuss the 7 principles of Leave No Trace, how they apply to what we do and some examples of our own mistakes in the past. We also discuss our personal opinions on hiking ethics and what we consider to be good trail etiquette and understandably, things get a bit heated around a few of those topics. This is a really important episode that we'd like you all to listen to and consider before you next venture into the wilderness.
