When our guest had to cancel due to illness we thought we'd do the next best thing and stack this episode to the brim with all the interesting, exciting, dangerous and weird hiking and outdoor news stories we could find. The 2019 Young Adventurer of the Year, Treasure buried in Yellowstone National Park, Hiking for Mental Health, Floyd the mastiff's rescue, and the grumpiest frog in the world are just the tip of the iceberg in this episode. We also dig into plenty more juicy news stories like the first person to summit all 846 Thirteeners, Albert Wiggin - 2019 Australian Geographic Society's Conservationist of the Year, 10 reasons why your brain loves a hike, Leave no Trace misconceptions and heaps more. We fill you in on all the details in this adventure packed episode.

Great podcast really enjoyed all the random news goodness and funny topic, would be good if you guys did this type of feature again every now and then!!! Info update on the shout out, much appreciated thank you....It's not my official dog, i asked the owners if i can walk him and give him that wild freedom dogs need, and they agreed.... so at least 3 or 4 day days out of the month we go off on long trails and have random adventures together as man and dog bounding across the countryside and coastal paths enjoying the nature/prople and ice creams along the way....thanks again Tom and Craig take it easy!!!!! Cheers
